The gathering brought together NNPPC members, District Governors, District Governors-Elect, District Rotaract Representatives-Elect, and other key partners. Discussions centered on recent polio updates, persistent challenges, and strategic recommendations to accelerate eradication efforts.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1065\"><em data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1063\">&#8220;We are making history one strategy, one vaccine, and one child at a time.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1067\" data-end=\"1482\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8427 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/polioplus.org.ng\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/486599009_986349446932160_7651871928875669206_n-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/polioplus.org.ng\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/486599009_986349446932160_7651871928875669206_n-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/polioplus.org.ng\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/486599009_986349446932160_7651871928875669206_n.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Accompanied by <strong data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1119\">NNPPC Chairman, PDG Joshua Hassan<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1165\">Former NNPPC Chair, PDG Tunji Funsho<\/strong>, the delegation traveled to <strong data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1242\">Karu Local Government Area in Nasarawa State<\/strong> for vital <strong data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1278\">polio advocacy visits<\/strong>. At the Karu Local Government Secretariat, they met with <strong data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1358\">Hon. Ibrahim Bulus<\/strong>, Vice Chairman of the council, to reinforce the importance of political and community support in the fight against polio.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1788\">In the heart of the community, these moments of advocacy transformed into moments of action. At <strong data-start=\"1580\" data-end=\"1612\">Masaka Primary Health Centre<\/strong>, Carol Pandak lovingly administered the polio vaccine to a <strong data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1691\">zero-dose child<\/strong>\u2014a child receiving the vaccine for the very first time symbolizing hope for a healthier future.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"2105\">Meanwhile, at <strong data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1838\">Mararaba Primary Health Centre<\/strong>, Michael McGovern personally supervised the immunization process and reviewed the health center\u2019s routine immunization records, ensuring that every child is counted and protected. Strong record-keeping, he emphasized, is essential to sustaining a polio-free world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2330\">One of the most touching moments of the visit came when Michael McGovern himself administered the polio vaccine to a zero-dose baby.
